Namco Bandai has officially released the first title under their new Namco Generations banner, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. Out now for Xbox 360 for 800 MS Points (and coming November 23 for PS3 users, $9.99) DX is the follow-up to the best Pac-Man game since Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man Championship Edition.
DX features new mazes and modes, as well as the new sleeping ghost mechanic. Sleeping ghosts become angry if Pac-Man gets too close and will begin to chase him (as ghosts are known to do) until he finds a power pellet or activates one of the new ‘bombs’ that send all active ghosts back to the center of the maze.
As for the modes, you’ll be able to play a basic Score Attack mode, a Time Trials mode that has you running laps around the mazes, and Ghost Combo, a mode that rewards you for chaining together power pellets and munching as many ghosts as possible in succession.
Anyone who played Championship Edition will likely be hyped for this already, but in case you missed the first one you’ll definitely want to give Pac-Man Championship Edition DX a look.

I got my 200 gamer points in Pacman, championship edition just didn’t seem different enough for me to get. And I can’t imagine this one adds enough for me to go out of my way to buy.
Besides, Crazy Taxi came out yesterday for PS3

You have to see a video of Championship then…as soon as you see the mazes morphing shapes when you eat fruit or the absurd combos you get from chaining ghosts together, you will want in. I can hardly imagine playing regular Pac-Man at this point.
