Ever since the announcement of the next motion control generation, in the form of Kinect and Playstation Move if you didn’t know already, people have been debating about whether there will actually be any merit to them. And it seems like a least SOMETHING benificial has come out of it, or at least for the Playstation side of the war camp.
After weighing up the pros and cons of each system, Namco have decided that they can’t run the classic Time Crisis installment on it, therefore rendering it a PS3 exclusive. Producer Norihiro Nishimura stated that ‘One of the reasons [for it being PlayStation 3 exclusive] was it’s easier to play this type of game with an accessory than it is with Kinect.’ Fair point there, but will it be another game joining in with the gimick? Or will it show other developers how it’s done. After all, it’s the first game I’ve seen with potential that doesn’t have anything to do with dancing or sodding animals.
Though he did remain open in saying that they MIGHT work with Kinect in the future. So fingers crossed some sort of gaming good will eventually come of Kinect!
