As most of you know, this year is an important one for Sony and Microsoft with the release of their upcoming motion capture peripherals. While Sony has released a majority of details concerning Move, Microsoft seems to be keeping their mouth shut about Natal. However, a “trusted” source inside Microsoft’s walls has told Edge Online some new pricing details concerning it. According to the source, Natal will cost $149 when it is released this October. Also mentioned was that the company plans on bundling the device with the Xbox 360 Arcade console which will be priced at $299. To be honest, $149 seems a bit pricey. I guess we will have to wait and see if Natal is worth forking that rumored amount of money.
Rumor: Natal $149, Bundled With 360 Arcade?

$150 would translate roughly to £175 in England and €199 everywhere else.
Nobody pays attention to the actual exchange rate, but never mind.
This is what I wrote about 6 months ago though. Microsoft are having a little too much pride I think: “Natal will change the way gaming works so we’ll charge a hell of a lot for it in the hope that the amazingness will just ‘work’.”
In actual fact, casuals will look at that price and realise they can get a Wii for significantly less.

What? 150USD = 175GBP?
I can’t think the £ price would MORE than the $ cost, maybe it won’t raech £103 which is the exchange rate, but I would have thought it’d sell for less than £150.

They better have some GREAT games for people to buy that. It reminds me of Xbox’s flopped HDD or PS2′s external hard drive for Final Fantasy online game

No way will it be anywhere close to £100.
And I promise it will be AT LEAST £150.
For lots of reasons. Involving the increased cost of actually selling something here (It is much more expensive given how many countries are in the EU and the different laws they have to get past.)
(By the way, check out both online stores. We get charged significantly more – sometimes over 10% – than our American counterparts.)
Bear in mind here that a quick check on Amazon shows that the 360 Elite is $299 with a couple of games. The closest deal I can see (Quickly looking) is the Elite with a charging station at £269…
