As if the world of Fallout: New Vegas wasn’t huge enough, Bethesda have today announced that DLC will provided, with the first coming within the next few months.
But here’s the catch, it’ll only be available at that point for Xbox 360 owners of the game.
We’ve asked for clarification on that, but the original message said to expect more details after the game is released. Even so, it’s nice to know that the pre-release packs will be coming rather sharpish.
What I like so far about New Vegas (From the little I’ve seen in trailers and the tiny bit I’ve played at Eurogamer) is that the world is so different from Fallout 3. It looks similar in terms of graphical style and the HUD, of course, but the feel of the world. In Fallout 3, everyone was so desperate. In New Vegas, the whole stereotypical Vegas lifestyle seems to have lived on.
We’ll find out towards the end of this week!
From the press release:
“We’re excited to continue the partnership between Bethesda and Microsoft, and build on the success of the game add-ons released for Fallout 3 on Xbox LIVE,” said Pete Hines, VP of Marketing and PR of Bethesda Softworks. “Fans will once again be able to continue their experience in the Fallout universe with the add-on packs planned for after the launch of the game.”
