Rock Band 3 is Officially Awesome

Remember a while back we spoke about a reveal for the keyboard instrument at the end of the Green Day demo on Xbox Live?

We all laughed at the idea of a crappy little bit of plastic with 5 coloured keys and a ‘with thanks to…’ Fisher Price.

Harmonix has proven us wrong. Hold your head in shame.

After playing Beatles, I’m amazed I ever doubted them for a second.

Kotaku reports that the keyboard instrument is a 25-key version of the real thing.

Not only that – this is where things really get exciting, folks – but the other biggest addition to 3 will be ‘Rock Band Pro’ mode which will replace coloured notes with actual musical notes: including for the new guitar, a full-sized replica of a Fender Stratocaster…with strings.

And with confirmed songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, well, I get the feeling it’s going to be an expensive Christmas.
